During the week commencing 2nd November, Year 4 enjoyed a firework inspired week of learning. They watched a clip of a firework display, talked about their memories of Bonfire Nights past, collected together vocabulary, similes and metaphors to describe what it is like to be at a bonfire-using all their senses, before exploring some fantastic poems by famous poets. They explored the poetic features used in these poems, and identified different types of poems, then applied all of this learning to writing their own poems.
