On Monday Mr Hall, Mrs Clay and Miss Handley took Years 5 and 6 bellboating on the Avon, led by bellboating inventor, Andy Train. The group were amazing, experiencing all our seasons in one day, and padding against strong currents and winds. They paddled upriver as far as the lock, before paddling back against the wind direction (tough paddling both ways) strengthening not only their muscles and co-ordination, but also their communication skills, resilience and teamwork. The children were very excited to see a grey heron on the rocks as they paddled past.
Staff were hugely proud of the children’s skills and determination. Well done Everyone.
