Year 6 Trip to Batsford Arboretum

Year 6 spent a very enjoyable and informative day at Batsford Arboretum yesterday. Our tour guides, Bob and Val, taught us about the value of trees and how necessary they are for our environment. We learnt the names of trees and plants, both native and from other parts of the world. We also learnt their scientific names and why they were given those names. Bob was a fount of knowledge and answered every question put to him by the children. The weather was glorious and we experienced Batsford in all its Autumn beauty.
