It was a delight to hear our Year 6 choir members sing at the 30 strong Pershore Lunch Club on Wednesday 21st November. The pupils arrived at St Andrew’s Hall (opposite the Abbey) at 11.15am looking smart, tidy and ready to perform. They sang a selection of songs and pieces they had learned in class and choir. These included three songs from Odysseus, three hymns which they will be later singing in the Abbey, and songs from the Great War. Singing non stop for 35 minutes, there is no doubt that they held the diners spellbound. Year 6 were a credit to their parents, the school and themselves.
Ruth Kershaw of the lunch Club commented: Thank you to you all for taking the time to come and sing to everyone yesterday. It was very much appreciated; it was so lovely to see so much enthusiasm and it’s such a high standard of singing. Our clients were full of praise.
