At the end of last half term Year 6 took their History topic on the Victorians outside. They learnt how to play a variety of games that Victorian children would have played, starting with a round robin of hoop and stick, hopscotch, jump rope/skipping, catch and marbles. After this the class played ‘Follow my Leader’, finishing up with a game of Oranges and Lemons. They had a great afternoon and got a real insight into the how Victorian childhood games differ from/are similar to those played today.
