As part of this term’s history topic on the Victorians, Year 6 visited the Black Country Museum. It was a wonderful opportunity to be immersed in Victorian life, from spending a morning in the school room, to visiting the sweet shop, and playing with Victorian toys, to find out about what life was like for children in that era, and getting a glimpse of how hard life was for adults by going down the mine and seeing how little help there was, in terms of appliances, for Victorian women. 

The class very much enjoyed their trip back in time, but were very grateful to be returning to 2024, and their gadgets, at the end of the day!
