This half term, Year 6’s design technology topic is all about researching and designing their own biscuits. As part of the topic the class have thought about who their target market are, and designed the name and packaging for their biscuits in accordance. Today the children designed and made their boxes, utilising their maths knowledge of nets and 3D shape. The children deigned and made a challenging range of box shapes, including cubes, triangular prisms, and hexagonal prisms. Next week they will move on to making their own biscuit recipes to go inside their packaging. We can’t wait to try them!
