In art Year 6 have been learning how to use the medium, charcoal, as a tool for drawing. They then applied their skills to drawing pictures of Victorian children working in coal mines, as part of their research into work that children did in Victorian times. The children really enjoyed mastering a new skill and medium and produced some wonderful sketches and further enhanced their understanding of the lives of children in the Victorian era.
