Last week Year 6 planned and led an assembly for their families and the rest of the school. In it they shared some of their learning from their RE lessons about vocation and how we are all called by God to do good in the world. They dramatised the Bible story of Samuel and Eli, and shared the message from Pope Francis that we are all called to be saints. 

Year 6’s class saint is Saint Oscar Romero, and the children told everyone about his life and held him up as an example to us all. 

Well done to Year 6 for leading with such confidence. It was a very meaningful assembly; the prayer that you wrote were very impressive and the singing was wonderful.
