Last week Year 6 led the whole school, and their families, in prayer and liturgy, with a focus on Pope Francis’ reminder that we are all called to be saints.

The Year 6 members of the School Band started by playing ‘When the Saints go Marching in’. While they were playing, the rest of the class marched in to the hall singing the hymn. It was a very powerful way to demonstrate their message. 

The children talked about their class saint, and those of other classes in the school, and how they provide great role models to us all, and shared pieces of associated scripture that holds special meaning for them, before acting out the Bible passage from Matthew, 25: 31-46 and reading some of the beautiful prayers they had written.
