Earlier this term, Y6 led a whole school assembly on the theme of discipleship. During the assembly, Jesus was interviewed on ‘The One Show’, about how he had chosen his disciples and the disciples were questioned on their reasons for following him. The theme was based on their RE unit: ‘Followers of Jesus’.

The pupils explained the different vocations in the Church, reminding us that we each have a vocation and if we follow it, we will, in the words of St Catherine of Siena, set the world on fire. The Confirmation candidates then shared what they had been doing to prepare for the Sacrament next term and sang some beautiful songs to the Holy Spirit. Thank you Year 6 for reminding us of the importance of the gifts of the Spirit in our lives.
