Year 5 Geography Field Trip: Malvern

As part of Year 5’s local area study of Malvern, the children have been looking at the geography of Malvern and the make up of its town. Today they visited the Malvern Hills, armed with OS maps, satellite images and compasses, to see what local sites they could spot from the top.

On their trip they identified Malvern’s close proximity to Worcester, Pershore and Bredon Hill. They were also very excited to visit the Giant’s Cave, look at the Bronze/Iron age Fort and spot some fungi on their walk.

It was very interesting to look at Malvern, and it’s surrounding area, and compare it to Pershore! Thank you Mr Hall for organising the trip and Mrs Chatterton and Miss Handley as well.
