As part of their computing unit on Creating Media – Video Production, Year 5 have been learning how to create short videos in groups. As they progressed through the unit, they leant lots of new topic-based language and developed the skills of capturing, editing, and manipulating video.

The children worked in small groups to investigate the use of devices and software and were guided with step-by-step support to take their idea from conception to completion.

Last week the children learnt to use a green screen and incorporated this into their cross curricular RE or history films. Now that they have filmed against the green screen, they will add in appropriate backgrounds. We can’t wait to see their finished films.
