As part of their history topic, Year 4 visited Pershore Abbey for a Monks’ Day. They donned habits and took part in an immersive experience, role playing Benedictine monks by saying prayers around the altar, taking a vow of silence and sharing a traditional Anglo Saxon meal. As well as this, the children learnt about the history of the Abbey and of the Benedictine Order. Thank you Pershore Abbey for a wonderful day of memorable learning.
