Today Year 3 began their new science topic by comparing and grouping different types of rocks, depending on their appearance. They used magnifying glasses, and used ipads to take and enlarge photos of their rocks, to help them look more closely at the detail and learnt new vocabulary to describe the properties of the rocks the investigated. The class then thought about where rock could be found and what different rocks could be used for, depending on their properties.
