In their history lessons this half term, Year 3 are learning about the Stone Age. Yesterday they took this learning outside. Before putting on their coats and heading out they spent some time looking at pictures of Stone Age cave paintings and thinking about what the people who painted them might have made their paint out of. They also looked at the subjects of the paintings and realised that the Stone Age people painted a lot of animals and hunting.
Outside the children used chalk and charcoal to draw their own ‘cave paintings’ in the style of, and using the same subjects, as the Stone Age people. They had a fantastic time and produced some great pictures.
Fantastic job Year 3. Thank you Mrs Andrews.
