Year 3 took their science learning, on plants, out into Forest School recently. Mrs Andrews had hidden lots of cards throughout the Forest School area, some with things that plants need in order to grow well, but also lots of red herrings. The children worked in groups to collect as many different cards as they could find, then spent some time discussing each in turn, before deciding on a final selection that they felt were the ones necessary that plants needed. They all worked well together and had some very in depth discussions, putting across their points for keeping, or discarding, different cards. Mrs Andrews was very impressed!

Afterwards there was time for some shelter building and a game of 1-2-3 Where Are You-an old favourite.
