Year 3 and 4 took part in a cross-country event at Blessed Edward Oldcorne yesterday. Everyone ran really well and Holy Redeemer had many high place finishes.
In the Year 3 girls category our top four places were 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 9th which meant that our girls won that category overall. In Year 3 boys category we finished 1st, 3rd, 5th and 10th – also winning the team event.
The Year 4 boys category Holy Redeemer finished 2nd, 8th, 20th and 22nd finishing 5th overall. In the Year 4 girls’ category we finished 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 9th finishing 1st overall.
It was fantastic to have at least one runner finish top 3 in every category and winning 3 out of the 4 team events!
Well done to everyone for showing fantastic fitness and resilience, we are very proud of you all. Thanks to Blessed Edwards for hosting and to the young leaders for all their support, and to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for Running Club, which makes such a difference to the children’s fitness and speed in these events.
Remember, Running Club is every Tuesday morning. It’s a very popular club, but we would love to have even more children attend; you are all very welcome.
