On Earth Day Year 2 joined the Eden project for a live lesson to celebrate Earth Day. The class joined them virtually to learn all about the rainforest, including how they create the climate in their huge biomes which means that they are able to grow plants that you normally would not find in our country.
,The children loved participating in the story riddles to work out the answers, and then linking this to how we can learn from the rainforest to support our local community. Afterwards, the children created posters with ideas for what they could do to get involved with the ‘Big Rainforest Do’, which will take place in early June. This included litter picking and baking banana bread… watch this space! What a wonderful way to live out our Catholic Teaching Principal of Stewardship.
