Year 2 led the whole school, and their families, in a fantastic prayer and liturgy this morning. The theme was the parables and miracles of Jesus. They read the story of the Good Samaritan from the Bible and acted the story out, and reminded of its meaning: that we should love everyone and treat them as Jesus would.
The children shared some beautiful artwork of some of Jesus’ miracles, that they had created, and used these as a guide for how we could be like him, being kind and thoughtful for others like Jesus at the Wedding Feast of Canna, take care of others when they are ill like Jesus did in his healing miracles, feed the hungry like Jesus fed the five thousand, and help our friends like Jesus when he calmed the storm.
The class praised God through their wonderful singing and also through the prayers that they had written.
Thank you Year 2 for a great assembly and for all of those important messages!
