Year 2 had a busy week of learning last week!
The class have been working on being ‘Collaborative Cats’ in all their lessons and worked together to complete some of their learning tasks. In English, they were exploring the features of non-fiction writing, including instructions. The children had to order the mixed up set of instructions from their class text, ‘Grow Your Own Lettuce’. They enjoyed having a puzzle to solve!
In their history lesson, the class continued their topic on the Great Fire of London and worked in groups to sequence what happened. They asked some great questions about things they wondered about and wanted to know more about, and this will guide their history enrichment morning this week.
In RE, the children reflected on the journey that Mary and Joseph had to take to get to Bethlehem. They acted out the story and thought about how they would have felt and what difficulties they may have faced. They then created artwork to show their understanding of this part of the Christmas story; which will look wonderful displayed on their class altar.
Well done Year 2!
