In RE, Year 2 have been learning about the importance of sharing the Good News that Jesus has risen!  They made links with our Catholic Social Teaching principle of Family and Community, and created ‘tomb rocks’ to share with the local community. 

The class explored Easter symbols and Easter celebration words and phrases, including Alleluia, and then each chose how to decorate their rocks using Posca pens. 

Once the rocks were all finished, each child carefully took their rock to the Abbey Grounds and hid it for others to discover! 

The class gathered together afterwards and prayed to Mary, remembering how she cared for Jesus and continues to care for us today.
