Old Testament Stories

In this unit, we have learnt about stories from the Old Testament. We thought about what they all had in common and realised that they were all about people who God asked to do important, but difficult jobs. We retold the stories through storyboards, pictures, drama and written accounts…

Sacraments

In RE, the children learnt about two of the Sacraments; Marriage and Baptism.  They looked at the different customs of the church and associated religious symbols and vocabulary.  Their favourite part was visiting church to re-enact these special celebrations.

Christmas

In RE, the children reflected on the journey that Mary and Joseph had to take to get to Bethlehem.   They acted out the story and thought about how they would have felt and what difficulties they may have faced.  They then created artwork to show their understanding of this part of the Christmas story; which look wonderful displayed on the class altar.
