In their outdoor learning last week, Year 2 built on their classroom science lessons with some hands-on, practical learning. The children talked with Mrs Andrews about different types of habitats, and about which ones they thought they might find on the school site. The children then went on a hunt to find either a picture of an animal, or of a habitat. Once they had found a picture their challenge was to find someone who had the corresponding habitat card.
Afterwards there was time for the children to work together to create habitats in the Forest School area, to help encourage animals to come and make their home there.
The session finished with a class favourite-a game of 1-2-3 Where Are You?
Thank you Mrs Andrews for such a memorable, fun learning experience.
