Year 1 have had a wonderful start in their new class and continuing their learning journey in our school.
In English, the children have begun learning about traditional tales and enjoyed acting out stories, creating story maps and writing these stories too. Miss Taylor thinks they are amazing authors!
In maths, they have been using their reasoning and problem solving skills to sort objects. Their first challenge in maths was a little tricky, but they worked together to solve the problem and came up with different ideas collaboratively.
In RE, the children went on a creation walk, to appreciate what God made for us. They enjoyed being artists, creating pictures of their favourite parts of the story, using oil pastels. The children are looking forward to sharing these in their class assembly next month!
