As part of their local geography topic this half term, Year 1 took a walk down the High Street to carry out some fieldwork. They used tally charts to collect information about the types of shops on the High Street, which they will use later on to help them build a replica of Pershore High Street, and to look at the kinds of shops Pershore has, and doesn’t have. The children will start to think about why the High Street has these shops and also why some shop types are missing and where they would need to go in order to find the missing shop types.
