In science Year 1 are learning about plants. This week at Forest School they went on a treasure hunt to find the things that plants need if they are going to grow well (air, water, soil/nutrients, and sun). Once each group had found a full set of these, they regrouped at Base Camp and talked about hydroponics and how plants could grow in nutrient rich liquid, instead of soil. They then looked at each element in turn and thought about what would happen to a plant if it was missing each one.
Fantastic work Year 1! Thank you Mrs Andrews.
