This week at Forest School Year 1 went on a nature hunt! They started in the Eco Garden, before venturing further afield and were excited and amazed by the wonderful things they found; a lovely activity to do at this time of year, as we are in the season of Creation. Mrs Andrews made links to our Catholic Social Teaching element of ‘Stewardship’ and how we are asked to look after God’s creation, like St. Francis of Assisi (their class saint) did.

Afterwards, in the Forest School area, some of the children made nests for birds, while others found some pearls, which they decided must have been dropped by the Rotten Romans. With this in mind many of them chose to use the ropes and tyres to build traps, just in case they returned! Now they are planning to see if they can set up a camera to see if they catch them on film…
