Last half term Year 1 were learning about habitats and the plants and animals that can be found in different ones. This was a perfect topic to take outside and incorporate into a Forest School session. The children spent some time looking at the different types of plants they could find, and drawing some of them, before becoming nature detectives and going on a mini-beast hunt. Before the session finished there was just time to make some food to leave behind for the many different types of birds that visit our Forest School area; what a fantastic afternoon of memorable learning.
Well done Year 1, and thank you for being such wonderful stewards of God’s amazing creation.
