This half term Year 1 have been learning about Monet in their art lessons. The children have been really engaged with learning about Monet’s life and work and have been excited, when looking photographs of his house, to see where he got his inspiration for some of his paintings, especially pointing out the bridge where he painted his famous waterlilies collection. The class painted in watercolour, but Monet painted in oils to create more light in his work!
