Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club runs from 7:40am to 8:50am (when school begins) and is £3 for the session. Staff offer a range of breakfast cereals and toast with a selection of toppings. Children are offered a selection of games and art activities in the school hall, before going onto our secure playground area for the last 10-15 mins, so that they can let off some steam before going into class. Younger pupils may opt to go straight to class, rather than go outside.

Pre-school pupils arriving before 8am start in the hall, with the rest of Breakfast Club, then go into pre-school at 8am, when Mrs Sanders starts work.

After School Club

After School Club runs from 3:15pm (the end of the school day), until 6pm. Full and half sessions are available:

Half Session – pick up before 4:30pm – £5.00 (school age children)

Full Session – £8 (school age children)

Pre-school children are charged by the hour, at a rate of £5.50 per hour. Pre-school children start their after school care in pre-school, then join the rest of after school club for the last hour.

A snack is available for an additional £1.00. Snacks offered include:

  • wraps (ham, chicken, cheese, salad)
  • beans on toast
  • scrambled egg on toast
  • pitta pockets (ham, cheese, chicken, salad)
  • soup
  • pasta in tomato sauce
  • fruit
  • salad

Staff plan and lead focused activities during the evening, including art, craft, baking, team games, den building etc, but children are also given plenty of down time with a free choice of other activities and games. Where time allows, after school staff hear children read and facilitate space and support to complete homework, and/or practise musical instruments.

Holiday Club

During the school holidays we offer childcare between 8am and 5pm. Currently Holiday Club runs on Thursdays and Fridays, but we plan to extend this to other days of the week, should the demand be there.

Children can attend for a full day (8am-5pm), a short day (10am-3pm), or just for the day’s focus activity (1pm-3pm). Focus activities are optional and in the past have included:

  • dance
  • music and movement
  • themed baking
  • craft
  • cinema
  • sports
  • day trips
  • drama
  • music
  • den building
  • stories
  • outdoor play
