Holy Redeemer took an Under 11 team and an Under 9 team to Winterfold House School for the Catholic Athletics tournament. The children were outstanding and all their hard work really paid off.
They won two relays, Under 9 Girls and Under 11 Boys, showing the depth of the squad. Four strong runners are needed to win a relay event, so it was a delight to win two.
In addition to this, the Under 9 Girls won gold in both the 600m and the long jump, and bronze in the sprint. The Under 9 Boys won gold in the long jump, and silver in the 600m and relay. The Under 11 Boys won gold in the sprint, and bronze in the 600m.
The Under 9 Girls were also awarded winners of the overall event which is a fantastic achievement.

There were 52 children at running club last week! Please keep coming – it helps to improve in all sports.
