Winter Walk 2024

Thank you to Mrs Annis, Mrs Porter and the Year 6 prefects/councillors, for another very successful winter walk round the Avon Meadow wetlands last Saturday.

We were lucky with the weather, as it remained dry and wasn’t too cold. There was a great turnout, as always, and it was lovely to walk and talk together while getting in our steps for the day. The children especially enjoyed the opportunity to stop and feed the ducks and swans on the walkway. It was funny to see the birds walking on the ice! Mrs Annis had also brought along some hedgehog food which the children scattered along the hedge-line further round the circuit. Although we didn’t see any hedgehogs, we felt sure that they would appreciate finding it later on.

Back at school everyone was rewarded with fruit and biscuits and a warm drink: fantastic!
