We hope you all had a lovely half term break and enjoyed some of the wonderful weather. Being out in the sunshine can have a positive effect on our well-being; it helps to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. Serotonin is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused. At night, darker lighting triggers the brain to make another hormone called melatonin. This hormone is responsible for helping you sleep.
Our task this week involves being outside and having fun with a ‘Scavenger Hunt’. There are two to choose from including a spring hunt and a rainbow hunt. These hunts have a checklist of different things to find outdoors and when you have found them all you have completed the challenge. If you would like a copy printed in school please come and see Miss Taylor and we will print one for you.
Maybe you could make up your own scavenger hunt for a friend or family member to have a go at?
Enjoy the sunshine and have a great week!
