Even though we haven’t been able to do much face to face competitive sport this year, we have continued to stay active and have taken part in all of the virtual sporting activities offered, even during Lock Down. Our pupils have had fantastic success, competing against all schools in the county:
Key Stage 1 Pentathlon: 3rd
Year 3/4 Pentathlon: 3rd
Year 5/6 Pentathlon: 1st
Year 5/6 kurling: 1st & 3rd
Year 5/6 poetry: 1st (Sophia Honeybourne) and 3rd (Julia Trzaska)

…and this one to watch the videos where our Year 6s are asking questions in a virtual interview with Joel Clarke Khan, British high jump champion, and where you can watch them performing their poems: School Games Page.
All first-place children will receive a gold medal and a T-shirt in the New Year and the 3rd place children will receive a bronze medal. Sophia has also won a 50-pound Amazon voucher for the school; well done everyone!
The children have all received certificates for taking part and we have received some lovely emails about our children. The children involved in our ‘Media Crew’, asking questions for the athlete on the video, will also receive a T-shirt in the New Year.
We have had a very successful sporting term despite the difficulties. Thank you to the children for their endless endless enthusiasm and energy and to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter, without whom none of this would have been possible.
