As part of their Harvest charity work the Values Council ran a raffle and collected food for the Pershore Foodbank. We drew the raffle after assembly on Monday, and today the Values councillors took the foodbank donations down to the foodbank. The volunteers were amazed by how much food the children took down. Thank you to everyone who donated-your generosity will make a huge difference to the families who need the support of the Foodbank.
Thanks also to anyone who donated a prize for the raffle, or who bought a ticket. The children haven’t had time to count the money they raised yet-but they sold a lot of tickets! All proceeds from the raffle will go to CAFOD.
Well done to the Values Council and Mrs Williams-a great example to us all of how to live out our Catholic Social Teaching of ‘Options for the Poor and Vulnerable’.
