Earth begins to heal
While the global population continues to battle the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Planet Earth has been carrying on as usual… in fact, she has been healing. The worldwide slowdown in human activity has had a number of positive effects on the environment, including decreased air pollution due to less carbon-guzzling planes in the sky and less fuel-burning cars on the road
(Country Living, 2020).
Air pollution has plummeted, people are re-connecting with nature and animals are taking back the land.
In school, the Eco Committee do an amazing job in creating ways to look after the world, which God created for us. On our Eco plan this year, we are looking at ways we can continue to improve our provision for biodiversity in our grounds and in the community. As part of making the world a sustainable resource, WWF are running ‘Biodiversity Week’ from Monday 18th May 2020. Visit their website to find out more about biodiversity.
Please check out the Eco Committee web page for ideas on how you can learn about sustainability at home.
