As part of our Take One Picture project each class focussed not just on art and design, but also on the arts in a wider sense. Across the school Canaletto’s painting, Regatta on the Grand Canal, and the era and country it was painted in, inspired a wide range of creative responses from processions, fashion shows and learning Row, Row, Row Your Boat in Italian, to performance poetry, a Venetian masked walking dance, soundscapes, opera and instrumental performances. 

All classes, from our Saplings Pre-school Class, right up to Year 6, took part in a performance – staged in the round – to a packed house of family and friends. It was an amazing show,

Thank you to Mr Johnson for his work with the class, choir and band, as well as co-ordinating the event, and also to all of the staff who worked so hard with their classes, to bring their performances up to the impressive standard that they achieved.
