Having lost to the Year 6’s in the Sports Day Year 6 versus Staff relay this year, the staff were hoping to regain some kudos by winning the dodgeball. Despite having a very strong staff team, and some very skilled Year 6 volunteers on the staff team to even out the numbers, the Year 6 team won out overall, winning 3 games out of the 5 that were played: a great testament to the fantastic sports teaching they have received!
There was great sportsmanship and respect shown on both sides, with lots of encouragement being given to both teams, by players who were out. The Year 6’s were very humble winners, and the staff team being graceful in defeat: great role models in respecting the Dignity of the Human Person (one of our School Catholic Social Teaching aspects.
Thank you Year 6 for being so amazing. Your new schools are very lucky to be getting you.
