Yesterday we held our Sports Day. This year we were lucky and managed to avoid the rain, with the event going ahead on the planned date for the first time in several years!
It was a lovely morning and the children had a great time. It was, as always, very efficiently organised by Mrs Annis, supported by members of the Sports Council, Year 6 Prefects and a whole host of volunteers. Thank you to all our volunteers for manning the gate, totaling the scores, awarding stickers, transporting equipment, setting up (and dismantling) gazebos and any of the necessary jobs that were so vital to the smooth running of the day. Thanks also to the teachers and teaching assistants for doing their best to keep the children hydrated and sun-hatted, the Sports Council and Prefects (who did a wonderful job helping our younger pupils) and of course to Mrs Annis for the hours of work she put into planning the event, preparing the children, running the morning and packing up away again at the end.
