Holy Redeemer had a wonderful morning at the Summer Sports day. The children all competed in a range of events including baton relay, sprint, beanbag throw, fun relays and long distance running. The children were so enthusiastic and there was a great deal of cheering for each house team.
Well done to the children in Reception, competing in your first Sports Day – you were amazing!
We are delighted to announce that every child in the school ran the long distance event, earning a celebration ribbon. This is the first year every child has managed to run and we are delighted with their effort and determination.
The fun races were great to watch and this was the first year the class Sport’s Councillors chose each fun race. It was great fun to see Year 6 dressing up and racing in wellies!
The teachers verses Year 6 race was very exciting this year, and we are delighted that the teacher team are champions this year, for the first time in many years.
Well done to everyone taking part and thanks to the Sports Council for running the events, you were fantastic with the younger children. Thanks to the parents for supporting and encouraging.
Congratulations to Saint David’s on winning the Sports Day. Thank you to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter and all of the staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make it such a great event.
Holy Redeemer is a very active school, and this was displayed in bucket loads on Sports day. Remember you are all welcome to attend running club every Wednesday morning-and parents too!
