As part of learning about the lives of Mary and Jesus, we learnt about the Rosary, and how it is a prayer that can help us think about the happy, sad and amazing things that happened to them. We drew pictures inspired by these times:

We prayed the rosary in song, learning sung versions of The Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be to the Father, because St. Augustine told us that when we sing, we pray twice.

Our Father

Hail Mary

Glory Be to the Father

We developed tableaus and short roles plays for each story in the Rosary.

We learnt about the lives of some of the saints and used what we had learnt to write our own litany of the saints:

St. Lucy, who prayed to God and loved him, pray for us.

St. Alphonsus Liguori, who taught about God’s love in simple ways, pray for us.

St. Mary, mother of God, who stayed with Jesus to the very end, pray for us.

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who helped poor people, pray for us.

St Augustine of Hippo, who was a great teacher of Christianity, pray for us.

St. Therese of Lisieux, who served God in small things, pray for us.

St. Bernadette, who helped the sick, pray for us.

St. Joseph, who looked after Mary and Jesus, pray for us.

St. Francis of Assisi, who loved nature and animals, pray for us.

St. Peter, who followed Jesus, pray for us.

St. Pope John Paul II, who loved God’s people, pray for us.

St. John, who served God, pray for us.
