This week the children enjoyed the first of this year’s four well-being afternoons. Mrs Annis started the afternoon off with a fantastic healthy habits assembly, all about how we can all look after our well-being by eating healthily, exercising, being creative, getting in touch with nature and making positive relationships with others. The children then mixed up (Years 3-6 and Years R-2) and went off to their activity. There were a wide of activities on offer: yoga, making fidget spinners & puppets, team sports games, collaborative art, gardening, playing board games, dodgeball and learning about healthy eating.
Over the next three well-being afternoons the children will move on to the next activity for their age group and eventually will have had the opportunity to take part all of the them.
Thank you to all the staff who planned, led or supported the well-being activities, and especially to Mrs Annis, who organised and orchestrated it.
