Holy Redeemer enjoyed a wonderful sports day. The children encouraged each other and worked so hard, despite the hot weather.
There was a range of events, including distance and sprint running, a beanbag throw, a baton relay and a variety of fun races. Year 6 demonstrated their gymnastics abilities whilst wearing tutus!
Well done to Years 5, 2, 1 and Reception, with every child in each of those classes running the whole of the distance event.  We are very proud of you!
The Year 6 versus teachers race was very exciting, with Year 6 ultimately claiming victory.
Sports Day is usually a closely fought event, and this year was no exception!  Well done to St Patrick’s in finishing first to claim the trophy, and to everyone who worked so hard for their house.
Thank you to Abbey Park School for kindly allowing us to use their field; to the many parents and spectators for cheering the children on; and special thanks, as always, to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for their tireless commitment and support to the children at Holy Redeemer.
