Earlier in the year we asked local artist, David Turner, to draw us a picture of the school. He spent a lot of time in school, taking photos, talking to staff and children about what was important at Holy Redeemer and familiarising himself with the layout and character of the school. Alongside this he ran two very successful after school art clubs, supported by Mrs Breakwell.
David has distilled all of this down and has drawn us a fantastic Holy Redeemer, Where’s-Wally-type, picture. It is full of incredible detail and includes lots of special things to look for. I have included a picture of it here in this post so that you can see how beautifully it has been drawn. A poster size copy is hanging in the school above the staff signing in book. David is in the process of framing the larger, original for us and later in the term he will be offering parents, staff and parishioners the chance to buy a copy of the poster, for £25. Not only is it a wonderful picture, with lots of interesting ‘hidden’ things to find, but a wonderful keepsake of our time at Holy Redeemer. Keep an eye in the book bags for more information.
