School Council Non-school Uniform Day for New College Worcester: School of the Month

NCW is a national residential school and college for young people aged 11 to 19 who are blind or vision impaired.

Every student at NCW has a tailored programme, carefully planned and delivered to meet their individual needs in three key areas; academic achievement, independent living skills and involvement in extracurricular activities at the College and in the community.

The opportunities provided to students in these three areas of provision play a crucial role in the development of confidence and self-esteem and preparation for life beyond our College.

As part of being School of the Month the School Council have arranged a non-school uniform day for January 28th, where everyone is being asked to wear something orange and bring in £1, to raise money that we can donate to the College to support them in their vital work.
During the day members of staff and pupils from New College will visit school to talk about, and help the children understand, what being blind, or visually impaired is like.
