Save Tiddesley Wood!

The children in school have become very passionate about all things environmental over the years, which culminated last year in the school being awarded Eco Schools Green Flag status. Currently the children have become very concerned over the proposed housing development, which may have a negative impact on Pershore’s ancient woodland at Tiddesley Wood. Year 6 have written letters to the Council, asking them to reconsider. Today some representatives from year 6 took their letters down to the High Street to deliver them to the Save Tiddesley Wood Campaign HQ. They also took some of their woodland art, which can be seen displayed inside the shop, alongside some of their letters. We are very proud to see the children feeling so empowered to take action and try to make a difference in this way; a real example of their understanding of not only the school’s mission statement, but our country’s British values.
