Each year Running Club finishes off the Autumn Term with a Christmas-themed fancy dress run, and this year was no exception. This year we were blessed with the weather, as it was a beautiful, bright morning. There was a fantastic turnout of pupils, staff, parents and past pupils (and their parents) who all enjoyed their early morning run around the park and then came back to school for hot chocolate and biscuits.
This year’s run was a very special one, as it was run in memory of one of our parents, Anna Webley, who sadly lost her life to breast cancer earlier this year and who was a great supported of all school events and activities; especially Running Club. It was wonderful to have her husband Kevin, and their their three daughters back with us for the run. Thank you to everyone who came along, to everyone who donated to the charity collection for the Worcester Breast Unit-Haven, and to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for running the club, organising the event and for their unwavering enthusiasm and support for the children and school. Thanks also to the wider Annis and Porter families for their help with the event and to Mrs Barker, Mrs Clay and Miss Russell too.
What an amazing community effort. Together we raised £300 for the Worcester Breast Unit, Haven!
