Sainsbury's Games Cross Country Run

Last week Mrs Annis took eight Year 6 runners and thirteen Year 5 runners to take part in the South Worcestershire Cross Country Running competition at Prince Henry’s. Everyone taking part completed the course and had a lot of fun. Cross Country is hard work and we are so proud of them all. The teams did amazingly well with Jack, Caoimhe, David and Chloe qualifying for  the Worcestershire Youth Games. Jack finished 1st in the Year 5 boys’ race, David 2nd in the Year 6 boys’ race and Caoimhe and Chloe finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Year 5 girls’ race. With so many highly placed Year 5 pupils we have strong hopes of winning the Year 5 shield and are keeping a close eye out for when the full results are published. It was an especially great achievement when considering that many of the schools we competed against are large middle schools.
Well done to all the children who took part and represented the school so well. All your hard work and early morning training sessions paid off. Thank you to Mrs Annis for her time, effort and boundless enthusiasm for sport in our school.
