This term children and staff have been very busy as children in Year 3 have made their sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion, and our Year 6 children were also confirmed. Congratulations to all of the children.
Bishop David Evans came down to Pershore earlier in the term, to confirm the children in a beautiful evening ceremony. He very kindly travelled down early, so that he could come into school during the afternoon and talk with the candidates; something that they found to be a very special experience. He gave them a lot of time and even opened the discussion up to allow them to ask him questions, which they took full advantage of!
First Holy Communion took place last weekend (with Reconciliation having already taken place). It was a hugely joyful occasion, with the church full to bursting with the children’s families and friends, staff and parishioners.
Thank you to everyone who supported any of the children in any way. Thanks also to those who prepared the church and flowers so beautifully, supported the children in preparing for their parts in the ceremonies, sang in the choir, made cakes, served refreshments or cleared up afterwards.
Special thanks to Mrs Williams and Mrs Tumelty-Williams for preparing the children for the sacraments, and to Fr Amal & Deacon Pat.
